BAPTISMS/CHRISTENINGS

In baptism, we thank God for his gift of life, and publicly acknowledge his love.

Everyone is welcome to have their children christened in their parish church.  Your child is precious to you and precious to God.

As parents, you make a decision to start your child on a journey of faith, in which you will be supported by the church and your child's  godparents.

We also welcome adults who want to be baptised.

WEDDINGS

More than a quarter of marriages in England between a man and a woman take place in the traditional setting of a Church of England church.

You are welcome to marry in church whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised, and whether or not you go to church.

Please come and talk to us

well in advance of your planned date.

FUNERALS

If someone you know and love has died, a funeral led by a Church of England minister can be held in church, in a churchyard, by a graveside, or at a crematorium. The minister will be there to support you every step of the way.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:  while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
