Frequently Asked Questions
(please also see our Conditions of Entry)
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, provided they are well behaved and you pick up after them.  Dogs must be kept on a lead, especially at the beginning of the race.

I just want to walk not run - is that ok?
You are more than welcome to run or walk - whatever you prefer.  Walkers pay the same entry fee as runners, and start the courses at the same time.

What fitness levels are needed?

The 10k and 5k races are open to all fitness levels, but you do need to be medically fit to participate.  Some people prefer simply to walk around the course.  The Fun Run is intended to be inclusive, for all ages and abilities.

When will the date be fixed for next year's race?
We normally make a decision shortly before Christmas as to the date and cost of the next year's event.
Can I run with a baby buggy?
Yes of course, although it is your responsibility to ensure its (and your) safety - and please don't run anyone over with it!

What happens if I miss the deadline for registering?
You can register and pay on the day, but late entries are subject to availability and a small surcharge will be made.

I am interested in sponsorship - is that possible?
Yes!  Please get in touch by email, or phone one of the race organisers, if you would like to sponsor any element of the race. We are extremely grateful to our sponsors, who ensure that all the funds raised go to the church.
