The Music Room is available for hire for workshops, musical soirées, band rehearsals and recordings (but please note that it is not a recording studio, just a big room – 35' x 17' – with a very high ceiling!)
The grounds and woodland may also be used for camping, receptions, photo shoots, or micro festivals.
Facilities
Facilities include off-road parking, a small kitchen for hot drinks, toilet/shower, and plenty of space for camping. During breaks, you can use the beautiful courtyard, set with tables and chairs, or there is a large greenhouse/conservatory (with fish pond!) if you need to be under cover.
Instruments and PA
The fantastic Steinway grand piano, digital Viscount organ, Bridge electric double bass, a basic drum kit and PA may also be hired. We also have numerous other instruments - please ask if you need something in particular.
Accommodation
Should you wish to stay overnight, tents can be pitched in the garden, or camper vans parked on site. Alternatively, for the less hardy, we sometimes have a sofa-bed available in the farmhouse, or there is B&B next door at the Old Post Office, Ardley, or half a mile away at the Travel Lodge, Cherwell Valley Services.
Food
Tea and coffee-making facilities are available adjacent to the music room.
Meals can be provided en famille in the farmhouse kitchen for small numbers of people - e.g. homemade soup, bread and cheese, lasagne, salad, etc.
Food is also available at the village pub, the Fox & Hounds, which is within easy walking distance.
The nearest shops are in Bicester (4 miles), Fritwell (2 miles) or the motorway service station (½ mile) but we can usually provide you with emergency basics.
Costs
As a guide, we can offer use of the music room from £10 an hour during the day Mon-Fri, or £15 an hour from 5pm to 9pm and all day at weekends. Use of the grounds starts at £300. A damage deposit is required from hirers who are not known to us.
Meals are from £5 per head, and camping is £8 per night per tent or £12 per camper van. Reductions may be available for longer periods or combined packages including camping and food. If you would like to discuss your requirements, please contact us.
