Cottage-Clinic is a McTimoney Chiropractic clinic set in the grounds of Church Farm, Stoke Lyne, between Bicester (Oxfordshire) and Brackley (Northamptonshire).   It was previously located in Turweston, Brackley.

Our treatments use a holistic approach to care and healing, and aim to:

  • treat the person, rather than the disease

  • facilitate the body’s own ability to heal itself

  • use non-invasive techniques

  • promote good health as a whole

Abnormalities in the function of the body can be caused by a variety of stresses, illness or injury, causing a state of disharmony which interferes with natural health. By removing these blocks, both physical and mental, the body is revitalised and can work effectively and energetically to heal itself.

In Greek mythology, Cheiron was the most wise and just of the centaurs, known for his knowledge and skill in medicine and healing.

The emblem of McTimoney practitioners comprises the figure of Cheiron, carrying the flame of healing and the caduceus of knowledge, and the Latin motto, In Manu Vis Medendi - ‘in the hands is healing’.

What's the point in having regular chiropractic treatments if I feel fine?

(We recommend regular chiropractic treatments every six to twelve months.

Chiropractic is a method of realigning the bones in the spine and joints by subtle adjustments, thereby influencing the nervous system and natural defence mechanisms to alleviate pain and improve general health.

Because of its effectiveness in treating back problems, headaches and other injuries and traumas, chiropractic has become the second largest primary health care field in the world.

The McTimoney Technique which we use is an exceptionally gentle method, suitable for all age groups from babies to the elderly.
