Benefice Formation
In 1960 the parish of Westcote Barton was merged with that of Steeple Barton, and in 1975 this united benefice combined with Sandford St Martin,
closely followed by Duns Tew in 1977.
In 2015 a rearrangement of deanery boundaries allowed Over Worton and Nether Worton to join us.
Bell Ringers
We have an enthusiastic team of Bell Ringers
who practise on Thursday evenings at
Sandford St Martin, and ring for all our churches.
If you would like to know more,
please get in touch with the tower captain
Phil Sharman on 01869 340626.
Choir
The Bartons Benefice Choir (BBC!) is currently on hold due to Covid-19 restricitons on singing. Once we are able to restart rehearsals, information will be posted on Facebook and here on the website. Meanwhile, if you are interested in singing with us do email choir@bartonbenefice.org.uk - more singers are always very welcome!
Children
During non-Covid-times, we hold Family@Church services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in the month. These are specifically aimed at children and their families, and include children's activities and worship songs.
However, children are ALWAYS welcome at regular services in all of our churches.
